How to 10x Your Blog Traffic with Search Console, AlsoAsked and ChatGPT?

Do you want to increase your blog’s traffic 10x?

Search Console, AlsoAsked, and ChatGPT are three powerful (and free) tools that can help you achieve this goal.

Google has made it clear that it will not penalize AI generated content if it provides value to the end user.

You can find more details from my blog post, How Google Sees AI-generated Content.

However, we are not making use of ChatGPT to create content.

Instead, in this blog post, we will explore how you can use these tools to optimize your content and drive more traffic to your blog.

Following is the step-by-step process

Step 1 – Go to Search Console and find blog with maximum clicks

As a first step, you must go to your search console.

In the ‘Performance’ option, click on the ‘Pages’ tab (see the image).

Now find the blog post with the greatest number of clicks.

Step 2 – Find the targeted keyword in the blog post

If you have created a blog targeting one of your focus keywords, find the keyword and list it down.

It could be the main keyword, or the main keyword followed by the secondary or the tertiary keywords.

Now go to Google and search for the main keyword.

If you want more results and you are ready for a long haul, then you can search your secondary and tertiary keywords as well.

Step 4 – Check out websites in first 5 positions

Plug in your main keyword in Google and find out the first 5 websites listed for the query.

Check each of those websites to see what content topics they have that your blog post doesn’t.

Step 5 – Update your blog with content on those topics

Once you have noted down the topics on which you must write content for, get on to work.

Create useful and engaging content with a view to provide more information than your competitors do.

Make sure to add more images and videos if they are relevant.

Also add facts and statistics related to the topic.

Step 6 – Log in to ChatGPT

Log into your free ChatGPT and ask, “List subheadings to add for a blog titled [your blog title] with a focus on the keyword [your main keyword]. Also list relevant H2 and H3 tags based on the first 5 websites listed in SERPs for [your main keyword]”.

ChatGPT will list all the possible subheadings on the blog title or your main keyword.

Create informative and engaging content on these subheadings.

Now you can create long form content about the topics that includes almost all the details on the topic.

Make sure that you create a comprehensive blog post on the topic.

You can also use the H2 tags and H3 tags that ChatGPT lists.

Step 7 – Go to Alsoasked.com and find more questions

Get onto Alsoasked.com and plug in your keywords to find the most frequently asked questions on the topic.

Create FAQs and informative answers to relevant questions.

Answering FAQs is a fantastic way to create engaging content.

It may also get listed on the “people also ask” section of SERPs.

Step 8 – Repeat the same with ChatGPT

Go back to ChatGPT and ask, “list FAQs on the subject [your blog title]”.

Create FAQs with informative content on relevant questions listed by ChatGPT too.

Now that you have a comprehensive blogpost on a subject, add internal linking to other relevant blog posts and pages from the blog post.

Adding internal linking is a great way to provide context and information to your readers.

It will also prompt users to engage more and spend more time with your website.

Internal linking can also help search engines to understand the structure of your website and which pages are most important.

Step 10 – Add at least 3 CTAs

You must add at least 3 CTAs (call-to-action) in your blog post.

It’s a common practice to add a CTA at the end of the blog.

However, if you add more than one CTA and at different parts of the blog post, you have higher chances of users clicking on your CTA.

Step 11 – Create an enticing meta description

Check your meta description and make sure it is enticing the reader to click and has a CTA.

By including a CTA in the meta description, you can encourage users to take specific action.

It could be clicking through to the page, signing up for a newsletter, or making a purchase.

A CTA can help to make your meta description more compelling and increase the likelihood that users will click through to your website.

Read the blog post Google’s Advice on Creating Effective Meta Descriptions.

Step 12 – Monitor your analytics

Monitor your analytics and make changes if any to the content.

By tracking analytics, you can understand how users are interacting with your blog post.

How long they are staying on the page, which sections they are reading, and which links they are clicking on and so on.

This information can help you to identify patterns and trends in user behaviour, which can inform future content creation and optimization.

Step 13 – Update the content regularly

You must update the blog post content regularly with recent data.

Google and other search engines like new and updated content.

Make sure that your blog post is updated with new facts and statistics.

Conclusion

In conclusion, implementing the content strategy using Search Console, AlsoAsked, and ChatGPT can greatly increase blog traffic.

It can also improve the visibility of your content in search results.

Follow these steps and you can see your blog post traffic increasing manifold.
